Renaissance
This material is pressed into units, then autoclave cured (heated under pressure) to produce a fine-grained masonry unit. The final product is organic and incredibly natural to the touch, yet with unmatched strength and consistency in color and finish every time. Renaissance hand carved units do not require traditional and costly anchors and fasteners, instead a cost effective plaster scratch and brown coat is used as a substrate so that the masonry units can be thin set, just like traditional ceramic tile exteriors. What makes this product even more amazing is its sustainability, the remarkable density of the engineered units create what Arriscraft calls a 50 year façade. Arriscraft has dozens of 20 year plus high profile projects including its own Ontario, Canada corporate headquarters that proudly boasts a facade that has been in place for over 60 years. Arriscraft practices environmentally responsible manufacturing, which encompasses:
Renaissance masonry units are manufactured in; Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and Fort Valley, Georgia, USA. Because the raw materials vary from each manufacturing facility, the Renaissance collection is available in to regional color pallets; Renaissance Canada (RC) and Renaissance Georgia (RG), as shown below:

The ‘Renaissance®’ collection is essentially man made sandstone. The main ingredient is sand containing the appropriate silica content. This is combined with hydrated lime and various proprietary elements, including mineral oxides added for color.
